Parents, Members, staffers and children of all ages; step right up to the greatest show on Earth!

Well, at least we think it’s the greatest show on Earth! Today is National Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day! For 6 years, The Foundation for Advancing Alcohol Responsibility has hosted an event on Capitol Hill to celebrate this day and to encourage adults/parents to have discussions about alcohol with the kids in their lives. This year we are turning the Cannon Caucus Room (room 345 Cannon House Office Building) into a festive carnival. No one ever said learning had to be boring!

Those that attend will get a chance to play a variety of carnival games and learn the importance of saying ‘yes’ to a healthy lifestyle and ‘no’ to underage drinking with different activities, one being our Ask, Listen, Learn game! It is the most widely distributed educational program for kids in the nation and has been proven effective in getting parents and middle school-aged kids to talk early and often about underage drinking. Attendees will get a chance to play games and meet our newest Ask, Listen, Learn Superstar, two-time gold medalist and U.S Women’s Gymnastics Team Captain Aly Raisman! We will also be joined by US Women’s National Soccer Team defender Ali Krieger, News4 Sports Anchor Dan Hellie and 94.7 Fresh FM host Tommy McFly.

We hope you can join us today at from 12:30-2 pm in the Cannon Caucus Room! Check out our flyer for more info: bit.ly/TODSTWD
