2018 Year-End Legislative Report

As the year winds down, we always look at the year in review as it relates to state legislation. Where did new laws pass? When do they take effect? What do they do and how will they stop drunk driving and underage drinking? Where did good legislation fall short and why? What partners can we reach out to for help in the new year?

Here’s hoping that 2019 brings some bold legislation action as it pertains to stopping impaired driving so that more lives can be saved on our roadways. Our end of year report highlights legislation that passed since we issued our mid-year report in June. In particular, new DUI laws take effect this month in Missouri and Pennsylvania and three new laws take effect on New Year’s Day in California, Idaho and New Hampshire. We wish you happy and safe holidays and a Happy New Year!
