Are your college students ready to #LeadTheBreak?

College students across America are already dreaming about Spring Break. And parents and college administrators are already raising awareness about how to make sure these spring breakers are safe.

In partnership with The Bacchus Network , we will host a webinar on February 4th at 2:00 PM ET to unveil the #leadthebreak Instagram Sweepstakes to encourage students who choose responsible Spring Break activities to set a great example for their peers.  Students across the country plan to volunteer or participate in alternative spring break programs, visit or travel with family and friends, and many will work over spring break or catch up on schoolwork.

Unfortunately, media coverage has tended to shine a negative light on Spring Break. This has created a perception regarding what students do during spring break that we feel does not reflect reality. In fact, did you know that 31% of college students will be going home to visit family and friends? Another 26% of students plan to work over spring break, while 22% of students reported that they will be studying or catching up on school work.

The Bacchus Network and The Foundation for Advancing Alcohol Responsibility will hold the #leadthebreak Instagram Sweepstakes during the month of March and April to give students a bit more incentive to be proud of how they plan to spend Spring Break. Students who participate in the sweepstakes will be signing up for a chance to win several prizes:

  • 1st place winner receives a Macbook Air, and a $1000 donation to their local BACCHUS Chapter*
  • First Runner up receives an iPad, and a $500 donation to their local BACCHUS Chapter*
  • Second Runner Up receives an iPad mini. And a $250 donation to their Local BACCHUS Chapter*

To learn more about how to participate in the contest and how to #leadthebreak, join us and The BACCHUS Network for the #leadthebreak Webinar at 2:00 PM ET on February 4th!  Click here to register for the webinar!

We look forward to seeing you then!

*If winning students’ universities do not have a local BACCHUS Chapter, the donation will serve to start a peer educator program on that campus.
