Don’t let Cinco Ruin Seis this Cinco de Mayo

If you’re indulging with Margaritas this Cinco de Mayo, make sure you’ve also got plenty of salsa and guac.

Spring is here and summer steadily is approaching. We wanted to remind you that whether it be for Cinco de Mayo, the Kentucky Derby or a simple hang out session, if you choose to drink, know your limits, have a plan and be a good host by always serving food and non-alcoholic drinks.

Of many things, that means knowing how you’re going to be getting to and from anywhere BEFORE you partake in the festivities.

Eat a full meal if you’re going out. If you’re hosting, serve plenty of food and provide water so people can take a break from drinking alcohol and stay hydrated.

Need help checking your limits? Check out our Virtual Bar, available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. This free gadget can help you understand how alcohol affects your blood-alcohol concentration (BAC). Enter your height, weight and gender, and any food you’ve eaten and know how alcohol will affect you with your celebratory margarita.

Let us know how you plan to enjoy Cinco de Mayo and other upcoming spring events with the hashtag “#StartsWithMe” across our social media channels. Tell us how the responsibility to know your limits, get home safely and watch out for your friends is something you value.
