Intoxalock, Smart Start, and Yoti Become Founding Members of Responsibility.org Corporate Partner Program

New program aligns corporate resources to promote alcohol responsibility

October 27, 2020 (Arlington, VA) - Responsibility.org today (Tuesday) announced the launch of the organization’s new Corporate Partner Program, welcoming Intoxalock, Smart Start, and Yoti as the program’s founding partners. Intoxalock and Smart Start are inaugural members of the Responsibility Champions partnership, while Yoti joins as a Corporate Supporter.

All Responsibility.org Corporate Partners share the organization’s commitment to ending all impaired driving, eliminating underage drinking, and empowering adults to make a lifetime of responsible alcohol choices as part of a balanced lifestyle. Together, Corporate Partners and Responsibility.org’s distilled spirits producer members lead efforts to make our nation’s communities safer and drinking behaviors more responsible.

Responsibility.org CEO Chris Swonger welcomed Intoxalock, Smart Start, and Yoti to the Corporate Partner Program:

“Intoxalock, Smart Start, and Yoti make tools that help make our roads and society safer, and we welcome their exciting participation in our new Corporate Partner program.

Responsibility.org’s Corporate Partners play a critical role in building on the immense progress made in the first 29 years of our leadership designing and implementing effective programs that, for example, educate parents, teachers, and students about the dangers of underage drinking (Ask, Listen, Learn) and bring together road safety, law enforcement, and treatment experts to identify and address the factors that put Americans at highest risk from impaired drivers (STOP High-Risk Impaired Driving).

But there is much more work to be done, and we look forward to working more closely with these Corporate Partners and others who share our unwavering commitment and dedication to advancing alcohol responsibility as the program grows and more companies become engaged.”

Intoxalock CEO Kimberly Williams commented:

“As an industry-leading brand with 4,000 locations nationwide, Intoxalock has been a trusted partner for more than 25 years in helping keep America’s roads safe. We are confident that collaborating with Responsibility.org as a Corporate Partner will only strengthen these efforts, and we look forward to working together to eliminate impaired driving from our communities.”

Smart Start CEO Matthew T. Strausz commented:

“To date, Smart Start has helped over 1.3 million customers successfully complete their alcohol monitoring programs.  As a Responsibility.org Corporate Partner, we underscore our commitment to ending alcohol related traffic fatalities once and for all, and providing technologies encouraging change in alcohol-related behaviors.  We are proud to join forces in pursuit of those missions.”

Yoti VP of Business Simon Charnock commented:

“Yoti and Responsibility.org share the same goal: keeping alcohol out of the hands of folks not old enough to legally purchase and consume it. We are thrilled to team up with this leading organization and lend our expertise in identification and age verification technology to help further that mutual goal.”

Responsibility.org’s cutting-edge, science-based educational programs, resources for

policymakers and practitioners, and innovative communications campaigns have contributed to record-low underage drinking levels and sustained decreases in road fatalities.
