Responsibility.org Welcomes Abbott, DoorDash, and Shipt to Corporate Partner Program in Q4 2021

The Responsibility.org Corporate Partner Program underscores the organizations’ commitment to responsibility - saving lives on our nation's roads, keeping alcohol out of youths' hands, and making responsible choices about drinking

Arlington, Va.— Today, Responsibility.org announced the addition of three companies to its Corporate Partner Program in the fourth quarter of 2021.

“We are thrilled to welcome Abbott, DoorDash and Shipt to the Responsibility.org Corporate Partner Program. These organizations have established themselves as leaders in their respective industries, and their commitment to social responsibility is an extension of the great work they do as corporate citizens,” said Chris R. Swonger, president and CEO of Distilled Spirits Council of the United States (DISCUS) and Responsibility.org. “We applaud these organizations for recognizing the value of a collective impact approach to tackling complex societal issues and for joining our cause to make a positive impact in communities across the country. As an organization, we are committed to increasing our impact and will continue to seek out strategic partnerships with organizations from a wide range of industries to meaningfully address impaired driving, underage drinking, and responsible consumption.”

Abbott joins Responsibility.org as a Responsibility Champion and has worked in tandem with the organization to tackle the issue of impaired driving as a supporter of the National Alliance to Stop Impaired Driving (NASID). This work is critical as the nation has seen an increase in impaired driving fatalities since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. Abbott is committed to creating safer communities and has developed technologies to provide law enforcement officials and communities with the tools they need to prevent impaired driving crashes.

As it advances its corporate responsibility initiatives around responsible alcohol delivery, DoorDash will support Responsibility.org’s mission as a Corporate Patron. Responsibility.org and DoorDash will work together to develop and promote responsible consumption messaging and products that will benefit DoorDash customers while bolstering DoorDash’s efforts to deliver alcohol safely and responsibly.

This year, Shipt, a Responsibility.org Corporate Supporter, will work closely with Responsibility.org to advance its corporate responsibility initiatives surrounding alcohol delivery and provide resources on underage drinking prevention and responsible decision-making to Shipt customers. As a leading consumer product delivery service, Shipt’s commitment to ensuring beverage alcohol products are delivered and consumed responsibly aligns well with Responsibility.org’s mission to advance alcohol responsibility.

In 2022, the Responsibility.org Corporate Partner Program will serve as a vehicle to further the organization’s mission to eliminate underage drinking, stop impaired driving, and promote responsible consumption as it celebrates 30 years of impact. Corporate Partners will also sponsor and participate in the second annual NASID conference, which will take place this summer to further address the growing issue of multi-substance impaired driving. In addition, the program will seek thought-leadership opportunities for partners to widen the organization’s reach and influence policymaking and social change.
