The following is from one of our nation’s many Chiefs of Police

As a Chief, I’d like to think I know everything about teen driver safety. I do know that teens think they already know everything about safe driving. I see them every day on the roadways and in schools when we talk to students. I also see teen drivers who have been involved in crashes that result in serious injury or death. I have experienced first-hand the heartbreak of having to notify families and loved ones about these needless tragedies.

For that reason, the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) Foundation is proud to partner with The Foundation for Advancing Alcohol Responsibility during Global Youth Traffic Safety Month™ this year to launch a new teen driver safety program, called IKnowEverything. As an innovative, new program, IKnowEverything helps freshen the existing outreach we do as law enforcement to teens and their parents about safe driving as well as starting new outreach efforts in our communities. We are encouraging our chiefs of police to share this with their departments and their communities.

The IACP Foundation supports the goals and objectives of the IACP as a professional organization that serves the law enforcement leaders of today and develops the leaders of tomorrow.
