The Foundation for Advancing Alcohol Responsibility speaks with National Sheriff's Association about underage drinking prevention and teen driver safety

On Friday, The Foundation for Advancing Alcohol Responsibility presented to the National Sheriffs’ Association during their annual meeting of the Youth Programs and Juvenile Justice Committee, as well as the Traffic Safety Committee. As a partner in fighting underage drinking and drunk driving, we updated the sheriffs on The Foundation for Advancing Alcohol Responsibility’s activities and program offerings that they can use in their communities. We invited them to attend events with the IKnowEverything program at schools in their communities, which are being scheduled through May 2014.

We also updated the committees on the new iDECIDE and #TalkEarly initiatives, and invited them to join the conversation on underage drinking through social media outreach and participation in their communities. Finally, we shared information on the new Hardcore Drunk Driving Law Enforcement Training to be offered through The Institute of Police Technology and Management starting this month.

We look forward to continuing our partnership with the National Sheriffs’ Association and working on the front lines with law enforcement to fight drunk driving and underage drinking.
