We unveiled our new name to traffic safety pros at annual Lifesavers National Conference

The Foundation for Advancing Alcohol Responsibility (Responsibility.org) attends and exhibits at the annual Lifesavers National Conference on Highway Safety Priorities, held this year in Nashville, TN. Over 1,500 traffic safety professionals share valuable information about what they do and learn from each other about the successes and challenges they have experienced working to keep everyone safe on America’s roadways. Since this year’s conference occurs during Alcohol Awareness Month, it is the perfect opportunity for Responsibility.org to share our new name, bold new mission and bold new policies.

Responsibility.org is proud to share its booth this year with Tim Hollister, a frequent guest blogger on teen driver safety. Tim’s 17-year-old son Reid died in a one-car crash in 2006.  Since then, Tim has gone on to become a nationally-known advocate for safer teen driving, first through his national blog for parents, “From Reid’s Dad,” www.fromreidsdad.org, and now in his new book “NOT SO FAST: Parenting your Teen through the Dangers of Driving,” published by the Chicago Review Press: www.nsfteendriving.com. Tim is providing signed copies of his book to all attendees who visit the Responsibility.org booth.

On Sunday, attendees got to create a photo flipbook in our booth! Kendell Poole, the Governor’s Representative for Highway Safety in Tennessee and this year’s Lifesavers Conference host even stopped by to create one! 

It is a great experience to talk with attendees at Lifesavers who share their valuable knowledge and expertise with us, as well as to learn about the work they do every day to keep us safe on the road. We are proud to provide resources for their work addressing drunk driving and underage drinking, and igniting more conversations around alcohol responsibility at this conference.
