Happy Holidays!
The holidays are here! All season long, we’re surrounded by celebrations, traditions, and opportunities to connect. No matter how you celebrate – whether you’re gathering with loved ones, attending festive events, or enjoying a relaxing evening at home – responsibility is always in season.

If you’re hosting, provide a variety of food and beverage options, clearly labeling alcohol to ensure no one under 21 is served. Thoughtful touches like adding responsibility language to your invite, appointing a bartender, and not topping off drinks help guests stay mindful of their alcohol choices.
Before you raise a glass, understand what’s in your drink and how that will affect you and your BAC by using our Virtual Bar app. With the holidays bringing increased traffic on our roads, plan ahead by scheduling a ride share, using public transportation, or appointing a designated driver.
Drunk driving is 100% preventable.

Talk openly with your kids about the risks of underage drinking and always model responsible behavior if and when you choose to drink alcohol. The holidays are no excuse for underage drinking; research has found adolescents who are allowed to drink before 21 are more likely to transition quickly from their first drink to consuming 5 or more drinks at 1 time and to drinking heavily 3 or more times in the past year. (Maggs, J., et al., 2019)
And remember, responsibility is not limited to holiday celebrations. Mindful choices should be reflected upon and practiced throughout the year.
Join us in sharing the message that responsibility is always in season.
From all of us at Responsibility.org, have a safe, responsible, and festive holiday ❄️❤️
