Responsibility.org Welcomes Waymo to Corporate Partner Program

Responsibility.org Corporate Partner Program underscores Waymo’s commitment to responsibility — saving lives on our nation's roads, keeping alcohol out of youths' hands, and making responsible choices about drinking

Washington, D.C.— Today, Responsibility.org announced the addition of Waymo, an autonomous driving technology company, to its Corporate Partner Program for the fourth quarter of 2023.

“We are pleased to welcome Waymo to the Responsibility.org Corporate Partner Program. This forward-thinking company is doing great work that complements our dedication to save lives and make roads safer for all,” said Leslie Kimball, Executive Director of Responsibility.org. “We applaud Waymo for recognizing the value and impact of our cause to make a positive impact in communities across the country. As an organization, we are dedicated to strategic partnerships such as this to meaningfully address impaired driving, underage drinking, and responsible consumption.”

Waymo, a Responsibility.org Responsibility Champion, will work closely with Responsibility.org on the furtherance of efforts to educate the public on how autonomous driving can expand mobility for those that need it, facilitate safer driving on our roads, and mitigate safety threats such as drunk drivers to prevent lives lost.

“Waymo and Responsibility.org share a common goal: to eliminate impaired driving. Every 39 minutes in the United States, someone dies in a drunk driving crash — fatalities that are 100% preventable. We believe technology can and should be part of the effort to end impaired driving and save lives. Waymo’s fully autonomous driving technology is designed to be a cautious, defensive driver that is constantly vigilant and never drives under the influence of drugs or alcohol. By joining forces with Responsibility.org, we are reinforcing our commitment to fostering a world where no more lives are senselessly lost due to drunk driving.” - Heather Aijian, Public Affairs Manager at Waymo

The Responsibility.org Corporate Partner Program serves as a vehicle to further the organization’s mission to eliminate underage drinking, stop impaired driving, and promote responsible consumption. The program seeks thought-leadership opportunities for partners to widen the organization’s reach and influence policymaking and social change.

Responsibility.org’s Corporate Partner Program features different partnership package options and is offered to firms, corporations, and associations looking to support the important mission of ending all impaired driving, eliminating underage drinking, and empowering adults to make a lifetime of responsible alcohol choices. Depending on the chosen partnership level, benefits include access to exclusive reports and insights, networking with leaders in peer organizations, opportunities to engage on specific initiatives/media campaigns and broadening the reach and visibility of your corporate responsibility efforts.
