A day with Ashley Wagner & our nation’s Attorneys General

As the rest of the world was talking about the results from Sochi, we were anxiously awaiting the arrival of now bronze medalist figure skater, Ashley Wagner!

Our underage drinking initiative, Ask, Listen, Learn, teamed up with some of our nation’s Attorneys General this week to tape public service announcements with Ashley encouraging kids to say YES to a healthy lifestyle and NO to underage drinking. We welcomed Ashley back to the States, and she was excited to start working on this project with us — even in the midst of her hectic post-Sochi schedule!

The PSAs will go live during April’s Alcohol Awareness Month. These short videos will feature each of the Attorneys General with Ashley urging parents, kids and educators to log on to www.asklistenlearn.com to learn ways to have meaningful conversations about the consequences of underage drinking.

Parents, use this opportunity to spark one of these conversations. It’s important to talk early and often with your kid about how alcohol can negatively affect their goals and dreams. Ashley explained how without being able to ward off pressures, such as underage drinking, she wouldn’t be where she is today. It was the sacrifices she made that allowed her to succeed.

The Attorneys Generals were eager to work with us and create awareness around starting a lifetime of conversations, and we’re thankful for their continued dedication to fighting the issues of drunk driving and underage drinking.

Are you an Ashley fan? Ask, Listen, Learn has a blog post featuring some exclusive behind-the-scenes photos and a great look into the taping with Ashley. Be sure to check it out!
