This Think Responsibly Quiz Will Tell You If You’re a Responsible Drinker
You plan out your life, do you plan out your night?
You make time for yourself, your work, your friends. You plan for the future: what you’re doing this weekend, this summer, five years from now. You are in control, thinking through each step.
But, what about tonight? Did you plan for that? Or do you become THAT FRIEND?
Are you making the best choices when it comes to drinking so that you can keep crushing it the next day at work, as a significant other, as a friend…? We’re here to arm you with the tools to make smart decisions about alcohol. And sometimes that decision is to not drink at all or order a mocktail.
Take our #ThinkResponsibly quiz to see where you need to step up and be a more mindful drinker.
Let’s see what you know.
You’re at happy hour with your co-workers, but you didn’t have time for lunch and are already feeling the effects of your first drink. Your co-worker suggests another round. What do you do?
Politely refuse another round, opting to get something to eat instead.
Agree to another round, but only if it includes a snack!
Agree to another round. I may regret it tomorrow but I’ll probably be fine…
You’re on a first date and are feeling the nerves! The server asks if you and your date want to split a bottle of wine. You want to make a good impression to your date but know that 2-3 glasses of wine really goes to your head. How do you respond?
Order the bottle. It’s better than my date thinking I’m cheap!
Order one cocktail instead to go with my meal. I can enjoy myself because I know one drink won’t put me over the edge.
Politely decline and enjoy the rest of the meal with water.
You’re at brunch with a few friends and it’s time to order. There’s an option for bottomless drinks. You have plans later in the afternoon that you can’t miss. What do you order?
Decide to order a cocktail with my meal and forgo the bottomless option. I will thank myself later!
Choose bottomless brunch and hope I don’t go overboard.
Choose bottomless brunch but pace myself, planning to only drink 2-3 drinks over the course of the meal.
It’s your friend’s birthday and she’s laughing hysterically and spilling drinks at the bar. Another friend offers to buy another round. Being a trusted friend, what do you do?
Suggest a round of water for everyone instead. They will thank you later!
Join them in the next round. It’s a party, right?
Tell your friends to pace themselves, say goodbye and leave the bar.
You’re at your office holiday party and you know it’s a great opportunity to build relationships with people who are important for your career. What’s your plan for the night?
Finish a few drinks right away to ease my nerves. Gotta take advantage of the open bar!

Order a water after every drink and only have one or two to ensure you make the best impression.
You’re going to a football game and your friend wants to tailgate beforehand. You want to enjoy yourself but you’re also concerned about getting back home after the game lets out. How do you navigate this situation?
Suggest using a ride sharing app or taking public transportation to and from the game, and meet up at a nearby bar instead. That way, everyone can enjoy themselves without worrying about the ride home.
Volunteer to be the designated driver.
Just drive to the game and worry about who’s driving home after the game when the time comes. Someone always volunteers eventually!

Go to another bar by myself to drink more. My friends are boring!
Go home with my friends. We went on vacation to enjoy time together after all.

You and your friends are planning to visit several distilleries. It’s going to be a long day. What’s your plan to keep from over-doing it?
Plan the number of drinks I have to ensure I don’t go over my limit.
Offer to bring snacks and water for the group to make sure we all have a great day.
Go on the tour without any plan. Drink as much wine that’s offered and hope for the best!
Your best friend is getting married and you’ve been asked to give a toast. There is also an open bar. What do you do to make sure you don’t drink too much before giving the speech?
