Alice Cahn is a corporate social responsibility expert focused on using media to create successful partnerships, encourage employee engagement and contribute to positive social change.  Her experience includes working with Turner Broadcasting where she built projects that increased audiences;  positively influenced youth and adult attitudes; and identified new partnerships with business, government, education, advocacy and community-based organizations.   Cahn founded the network’s award-winning STOP BULLYING: SPEAK UP project, now embraced across Turner and Time Warner brands in the US, Latin America and Europe.

Prior to working with Turner, Cahn served as Managing Director of the Markle Foundation’s Interactive Media for Youth division, supporting and publishing research on the impact of technology on learning and development .  Ms. Cahn joined Markle from SesameWorkshop, where she served as Group President of Television, Film, and Video increasing revenue from home video projects and creating new series elements reflective of changing audience needs and media environments.   Cahn came to Sesame Workshop from US Public Broadcasting, where she was PBS’ head of Children’s Programming acquiring the networks most effective, highest rated and  most profitable youth series: BARNEY, ARTHUR, THE MAGIC SCHOOLBUS and TELETUBBIES.

Ms. Cahn has also designed national projects linking media and education at Sony’s Los Angeles-based Education First!, foundation; programmed instructional television at San Francisco’s public television station KQED; and taught at Village Community School, NYC.

Cahn did her Masters work in Educational Technology at San Francisco State University; and holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from NYU. She serves on the advisory boards of the Foundation for Advancing Alcohol Responsibility;  American Media Literacy Association; International Bullying Prevention Association; Adaptative Health Research; local Parent Teacher Associations; and the Children’ s Media Association. She and her wife live in Maplewood, NJ and have 3 children.
