Gideon Blum

Government Relations Manager

Gideon joined Responsibility.org in March of 2023 as Manager of Government Relations. Prior to joining Responsibility.org, he worked for the Distilled Spirits Council of the United States (DISCUS) in the Public Policy Department assisting the federal and state government relations teams. Before DISCUS, he was an organizer in Georgia for the Senate run-offs in 2021 and Pennsylvania for the general election in 2020. Before organizing, he worked at the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee as a political research and communications co-op while at Drexel University, earning his bachelor’s degree in political science.

Something to know about Gideon: While working at an ice rink in Philadelphia, not only did he drive the Zamboni for more than three years, but he was also responsible for training others and preparing the ice for NHL team practices. He still referees adult and youth hockey in his spare time.
