How to Prosecute a DUI - Online Course

How to Effectively Prosecute an Impaired Driving Case

Driving under the influence, or DUI, is among the most complicated crimes to adjudicate - especially for a new prosecutor. DUI defense attorneys are often well-versed in the science and arrest procedures critical to these cases. To narrow the knowledge gap, the Foundation for Advancing Alcohol Responsibility (Responsibility.org), the National Center for State Courts (NCSC) and the National Traffic Law Center (NTLC) have developed a free online course that provides necessary information to successfully prosecute a DUI charge. Additionally, CLE credit may be earned upon the completion of this course in many states. The course can be accessed for free here.

This course developed by national experts, is targeted toward practicing and new prosecutors. The multi-module training course and accompanying resources (spanning from toxicology to trial strategies) provide 360-degree coverage of information necessary for successful DUI prosecution.

Responsibility.org recognizes the importance of providing criminal justice practitioners with user‐friendly, practical educational resources and delivering them in a format that is conducive to a busy professional schedule. For more information about this resource, please contact Darrin Grondel, Vice President of Government Relations and Traffic Safety at [email protected].
