Be responsible this weekend to be the real Super Bowl winners

“Are you ready for some….” responsible decisions?!

The National Football League’s Super Bowl 50 is this weekend. If you choose to drink during the game, drink responsibly and have a plan.

The most crucial element to Super Bowl viewing success is knowing what you’ll be doing before, during and after the big game. That means knowing where you’re going, what you’ll be doing while you’re there, and how you’ll be getting home.

If you’re hosting a watch party, make sure you have food and non-alcoholic beverages available for your guests. The next crucial element to a fun night is knowing your limits. Eating food and having non-alcoholic drinks, like water, can help you stay within them.

If you’re attending a party at a bar or friend’s house, have your ride to and from figured out before you go out. Designate a driver, calling a taxi, or use a rideshare service to get yourself and your friends home safely.

In a perfect world, impaired driving wouldn’t exist. Check out this video to see how you can get involved, and don’t forget that impaired driving, which means driving while drunk, drugged, distracted, and/or drowsy, is dangerous and preventable.

Now, let’s not have the Denver Broncos or Carolina Panthers be the only winners this weekend. Let’s all be winners by drinking responsibly.
